3D model marketplace CGTrader.com is back with another challenge for 3D designers
CGTrader.com keeps strenghtening its position in 3D printing as the second challenge in a row which is oriented towards this technology has been announced recently. Designers are invited to create 3D printable items for Valentine’s Day 3D Printing Challenge - gifts, romantic souvenirs or anything related to the day of love.
The author of the best portfolio will be awarded with an Asterid Open Source 3D Printer. The authors of it claim that it is the “world’s first $499 fully assembled 3D printer with an 8x8x8 inches build volume”. The winner will also get 300 USD from CGTrader and valuable 3D printing prizes from iGo3D, 3D Print UK and Sculpteo. The winner of the best model will be awarded with 300 USD and 3D printing prizes. Runners-up will be awarded with other 3D printing prizes.

The marketplace had already done a holiday-oriented challenge for 3D designers. They have announced the winners of Christmas 3D Printing Challenge in the beginning of the January. Artists created a huge variety of original 3D printable models of gifts and decorations for this challenge.
