- August 11, 2017
3D printing technologies allow to create everything, even clothes! The additive technology exhibition – 3D Print Expo – will include 3D Fashion Show, a fashion presentation of 3D printed clothes. And American Alexis Walsh will be its first fashion designer!
She graduated with honors from Parsons The New School for Design (New York). Alexis specializes in fashion and product design. Her previous experience includes fashion design internships at Alexander Wang, Cynthia Rowley, and 3.1 Phillip Lim.
She studied 3D printing design at internships for Bradley Rothenberg and Francis Bitonti Studio and was engaged in freelance fashion design work for Proenza Schouler and Lululemon Athletica Lab NYC.
The artist integrates handcraft and technology. Her works have been shown in exhibitions and runway shows in New York, Paris, London, Madrid, Dusseldorf, and Berlin.
Within the fashion show, Alexis will demonstrate her patterns of 3D clothes as well as APEX COAT, a collaboration with transdisciplinary designer Justin Hattendorf. He works in architecture, product, fashion, and industrial design.
Attendees will be able to see unique surreal fashion items made using digital technology elements, primarily 3D printing.
Previously, the collection has been shown at world-class fashion runways and now it will appear at 3D Print Expo! Buy a ticket to the event in order not to miss 3D Fashion Show.
