Nissan Motor Corporation announced the launch of a limited line of 2017 Nissan Rogue Crossover, designed exclusively for the Star Wars fans. When purchasing the car decorated with the saga’s logos, buyers will also get 3D printed Death Troopers helmet as a gift.
Shining black helmets are made by Californian studio Gentle Giants, owned by 3D Systems. To create 3D models the company has scanned the helmet used during filming and provided by Lucasfilm company.
After preparing prototypes, designers have printed helmet parts using fiberglass. Than the studio employees assembled each helmet manually. There are 5400 pieces, according to a number of cars. To get such a thing is a costly affair: they will be sold only together with Nissan Rouge One, the price of which is $30 000. The car manufacturer is not going to produce helmets separately.
