Robo3D 3D Prints its Own Version of the Ice Bucket Challenge
In the midst of the Ice Bucket Challenge sweeping celebs, CEOs, and regular folk all over the ‘net, it was only a matter of time before 3D printing got involved. The first 3D Printed Ice Bucket Challenge I’ve seen comes to us from Robo3D, the San Diego-based manufacturer of the $799 Robo3D desktop 3D printer. In the video below, you’ll see the start-up’s CEO, Braydon Moreno, take a bucket 3D printed on a Robo3D printer and perform the Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS. The company will donate $100 for every Robo3D printer sold over the course of the next 24 hours to ALS Association. You’ll also hear Moreno call out three more people, including two important celebrities in the 3D printing world. Take a look!
Hopefully, the company donates some dough regardless of whether or not they sell any units (not that won’t sell any) and, hopefully, some of you out there can donate with or without buckets.
You heard ‘im, Brook, Bre, and Kaley. You’re up next!
