Tend.ai develops robots for 3D printers operation
Experts believe that additive technologies will improve the quality and speed of manufacturing processes. However, this can happen only if several 3D printers work on a plant simultaneously. In order not to hire additional staff for servicing the devices, you can use the idea of the Tend.ai startup - delegate the task on 3D printers operation to one functional robotic manipulator.

Interesting is the fact that Tend.ai manipulator is compatible with almost all types of commercial 3D printers. Moreover, for its construction only low-cost electronic components were used, so the purchase of the robot will be paid off immediately.
Mark Silliman, one of the project’s authors, said that robot is a self-learning device, improving its capabilities on the basis of received experience. According to the developer, one robotic manipulator can operate up to 30 3D printers simultaneously. Such robotic employee not only understands the operation process of 3D printers but can also diagnose and fix the problem quickly.
Inventors expect their manipulation robot to become available on the market in two years already. Meanwhile developers are going to carry out beta-test of the unusual machine.
